Friend Mapper will change the way you connect with your friends!
Friend Mapper displays your position plus up to 23 friends positions SIMULTANEOUSLY! LIVE! Thats up to 24 people on the map at the same time!
These positions update approximately every 15 seconds (or less frequently if you so choose) so each linked friend appears to be moving on the map.
Best of all, your friends can view your moving position from their iPhones or from www.amigomapper.com!

PLEASE NOTE:
You and your friends must be RUNNING Friend Mapper to post location updates. The timestamp next to your friends name beneath the map shows the last time he/she ran Friend Mapper. While running the app, you should see location updates approximately every 15 seconds.
Also, if your friend has not received a link request, check for typos in the email address.

Friend Mapper app good for
Ive been using this app since v1.0 a fair bit. Though it is incorrect sometimes (location a bit off or doesnt update your location as often as it should), its correct most of the time. The accuracy of v1.4 seems to be better than previous versions.
On top of that, Ive written to the developers and they were EXCELLENT and listening to my experience, feedback and thoughts about the app & service. In fact, these folks have been the best at responding out of any devs I have contacted. Given the response I got from them, the app improvements that will undoubtedly come, and the simply great features of this app, Im giving it a full 5 stars to encourage the development of this app.
If youve got a friend or family member with another iPhone, grab it and try it out. And do send your feedback to the developers. Youll see what I mean about how helpful they are.
Im not sure about the other reviews saying it doesnt work, but I use this alot, and it is very acurate. I would give it five stars if you could do in app texting as well as the ability to change friends colors, but other than that I have no complaints with this app. Seriously for $0.99 ? this app is great.

I have been using this app for years. I dont usually write reviews but I just could not remain silent when I read some of the bad reviews some people had written.
When I saw how well this app worked, I bought each of my teenage daughters an iPhone just so they could use this app. It works great. I have been able to locate them down to the foot, whether in a car, bus or walking. Its great for when the family is at an outdoor event. We can find and track each other with ease. Recent upgrades have made it even better.
Anyone who complains about this app is either on a poor network or is technology challenged.

Caution Push notifications do not work!!! Please fix!!!! It is definitely the app because I just installed the updated facebook with push and it works flawlessly. I have been using it for forever before that it is a great app I just wish they would fix the push notifications...

Some bad moments
I just didnt really like using this app. The icons and random colours bothered me the most. Free tip to developers, change the icons - just use pins or flags like everyone else - theres a reason Google doesnt use circles with stars in them. Also, colors should mean something - if my buddys icon is RED, to me that means hes offline and hasnt connected recently. Those two simple changes would make the app MUCH nicer to use.
I thought this app was pointless. My hubby would be across the world but if he hadnt updated his location it wouldnt show where he was. When it did show. It was a flashing light. Just dumb. Pointless.
Attention!!! This app doesnt even work properly. Everytime I actually used it, it said I cant log on to its server. Also, when it did log on, it showed the wrong location of the my AMIDOS. I had both of my iphones in my house and made tests. Usually I see that one of my iphone is blinking miles away. Somewhere I visisted days before. This is the second app I bought that does work as advertised (First bad app REAL RACING - multi player mode doesnt work) and I feel itunes should have some sort of system set up so that customers can return Apps that simply dont work!!!

Ive tried since 4am (its now 4:11pm) to get this App to register on my iphone but it wont. I got it to register on my husbands iphone- however its useless without both phones having the App considering we are the only ones we know who have iphones. Great idea, but should have fixed kinks before launching it to the public.
Takes several minutes to authenticate, and thats in 3g. Maps are also slow.
First problem is - it kills your battery in no time at all. Uses lots of power on both (or all) phones. Secondly; There was a moving tracking delay when I was watching my phone and driving of a good six to eight blocks. I like accuracy. This program has no idea what that is. It also showed me a mile from the house when stopped while it showed my wife in the street at work - 500 yards from her job. Not even worth it for free.
